Coconut 4.2

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

New release fixing some bugs from the previous version. Since Travian has not yet introduced its new bot protection system, don’t count on it that you are undetectable. The bot will work on T3.6 servers only. Hope you enjoy this version!

Update: Coconut 4.2.1 is available for download

Coconut 4.2 fixes:

  • Saving to xml files instead of one huge ini file
  • Fixed attack bug where the last village of a sequence would get deleted
  • Fixed attack bug where only attacks with unit 1 or unit 4 would send
  • One repeat attacks now stay listed until they arrive back in their village
  • Passwords now get saved encrypted
  • Fixed logging option
  • Added proxy functionality
  • Fixed attack bug where you could not send chiefs
  • Added program icon for os x and windows version

New Bot Protection

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

Travian will introduce its new protection starting from next week. Because they say they can detect any bot I suggest, if you love your Travian account, not to use the bot anymore. I will report back somewhere next week when I have looked into it.

For now I suggest to be careful. It is probably wise to put the bot in stealth mode. Also, in the properties panel, change the user agent to the one of your browser. This is your current browser user agent so you can copy paste it:

CCBot/1.0 (+http://www.commoncrawl.org/bot.html)

Proxy support will come in version 4.2 ;)

Coconut 4.1

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

Some of you reported problems with the attack panel. This version will hopefully fix all these issues. The times in the training panel will also be displayed correctly now. Training tasks will also be saved to the data file. Please make sure for the attack function to work correctly that you specified the server type (speed/normal) in the properties panel.

UPDATE: The attack function is still not working correctly in Coconut 4.1. Expect a new version coming out within the next few days.

Coconut 4.0

Monday, March 8th, 2010

A new release has arrived! Coconut can now also train troops and send attacks. Note that this hasn’t been tested well since we don’t have an extensive test account currently available. So if you find errors/bugs don’t hesitate to report them here and they will be fixed.

Coconut goes Open Source

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Coconut has gone open source under the GPLv3 license. I hope this will speed up development time and bug fixes. Feel free to check out the (atm. very ugly) code or join the development team at SourceForge.
